The MBI Winter Drumline will be sponsoring a Pancake Breakfast to raise additional opperating funds for their season.
Tickets for the Drumline Pancake Breakfast are availakble from any winter drumline member, or Gwynne Byrne will have them on Wednesdays.
The breakfast is at the West St Paul Applebee's (1753 S Robert St, West St Paul) Saturday February 6, 2010 from 8-10am.
Tickets are $6 ($5 of which goes to the drumline), and are available in advance or at the door.

Minnesota Brass is excited to announce their 2010 competitive performance schedule. Following back to back 2nd place finishes at the Drum Corps Associates Championship, the corps will travel over 5,000 miles this summer, performing in drum corps shows in Wisconsin, Minnesota and New York. East Coast DCA fans will have the opportunity to see the corps twice during the summer.
The season begins on Saturday night, June 26 in Madison, Wisconsin at Drums on Parade. The following night the corps will compete at Drum Beauty in Stillwater, Minnesota, one of the oldest and most successful shows on the DCI Tour.
On July 17 Minnesota Brass will join the Govenaires and over 20 DCI corps for DCI Minnesota in Minneapolis at the brand new TCF Bank Stadium on the campus of the University of Minnesota. DCI Minnesota is the largest drum corps show ever staged in Minnesota and will be the first major regional event on the 2010 DCI Tour schedule.
The corps' first DCA show of the season will be in Jamestown, New York on July 24. Minnesota Brass made its first appearance at Jamestown during the 2003 season and this will mark just the second time the corps has competed at this show.
August begins in Wisconsin, with performances in Racine and Kenosha on August 7 and 8. Two weeks later the corps will compete for the final time in Minnesota, in contests on August 21 in St. Peter and on August 22 at Sounds of Minnesota in South St. Paul.
The corps will complete its competitive performances at the DCA World Championships in Rochester, New York September 3-5.

Minnesota Brass had a great Open House event this past Saturday, January 2. We're looking forward to welcoming everyone back at our first official rehearsal, this Wednesday evening, January 6.
Prospective members are still very welcome to attend this first rehearsal! Even if you didn't make it to the Open House event, you are invited to come check out the corps and our plans for 2010.

Following back to back 2nd place finishes at the Drum Corps Associates Championship, Minnesota Brass is proud to announce their 2010 program: Caravan.
An odyssey through the desert is what is in store for MBI fans this year. The story of our voyage will be told in five acts: Camp, Mirage, Sandstorm, Oasis, and Caravan. Musical selections for the production include: "Bangkok" (from Chess), Danse Bacchanale (Camille Saint-Saens), "Nefud Mirage" (from Lawrence of Arabia), "Kashmir" (Led Zepplin), "Scheherazade" (Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov), and of course" Caravan" (Duke Ellington.)
"This is going to be a fantastic vehicle for our Corps," said Joel Matuzak-MBI Program Coordinator, "The music and concept allows us to continue to innovate in the all-age Drum Corps activity while maintaining a program that audiences will love. I couldn't be more excited!"

Minnesota Brass is excited to announce the launch of the 2010 season. Prospective members, volunteers and alumni are invited to join Minnesota Brass at our Open House Saturday, January 2. The Open House will include an opportunity to meet new friends and connect with old ones. Registration begins at 1:30 p.m. with the Open House program kicking off promptly at 2 p.m. Prospective members for the 2010 edition of Minnesota Brass will have a chance to meet the staff, march and perform. All guests are asked to RSVP to the Open House as soon as possible. If you have any questions, email the membership team.

Game days at the Xcel Energy Center just got a lot louder.
The National Lacrosse Leagues (NLL) Minnesota Swarm in conjunction with Minnesota Brass will take yet another step to making the Swarm game-day experience more exciting and interactive than ever with the launch of the Minnesota Swarm Band for the 2010 season.
The Swarm Band will be comprised of between 30-40 members of Minnesota Brass, and will be an integral part of the in-game entertainment at all eight home Swarm games. Adding to the Swarm Band experience will be the opportunity for local High School Bands to collaborate with one of the best drum and bugle corps in the nation while playing in front of 13,000 fans at the Xcel Energy Center. Marching bands members and world-class drum corps will converge at the TCF Bank Stadium in July for the largest drum corps competition ever held in the state. Minnesota Brass will serve as the tour event partner for this major event.
Drum Corps International (DCI) will present DCI Minnesota, featuring twenty-four drum corps from across the United States including the defending World Champion Blue Devils of Concord, California. "This is an amazing line up of drum corps!" said Minnesota Brass Development Manager, Brent Turner, who is working with DCI, System Blue, and the University of Minnesota, to bring the show to the Upper Midwest.

Minnesota Brass, Inc. celebrated their successful 2009 season on Friday, November 13. It was a time to reunite and share a meal with each other, laugh, and reflect on the season. Classic Brass was in attendance to provide some entertainment before dinner, a slideshow of 2009 memories was presented, and awards were given out at the culmination of the evening.

MN Brass Indoor is a marching percussion ensemble competing in both the Minnesota Percussion Association (MPA) and the Winter Guard International (WGI) circuits. In its first two years of existence, the ensemble has been awarded the MPA Open Class Champion and has been an Open Class WGI Finalist. Minnesota Brass Inc is pleased to announce the design team for the 2010 season. The corps is excited to welcome back all of the 2009 caption heads who led Minnesota Brass through an outstanding season. Minnesota Brass's performance at the DCA World Championships resulted in the corps highest score ever and a second place finish. We are thrilled to have such a talented team leading the creative and instructional facets of our program!
Joel Matuzak will once again serve as Program Coordinator and Percussion Caption Supervisor. Andy Classen returns as drill writer for the corps and Matt Kettlehut will serve as brass arranger and brass caption supervisor. Andrew Angle and Gary Swanson return as caption heads for the visual and colorguard sections respectively. Matt Ferry will serve as percussion arranger. Minnesota Brass, Inc. Announces Board of Directors and Corporate Officers for 2010
Minnesota Brass, Inc. elected four candidates to serve on the Board of Directors at their Annual Meeting on September 30. Each year, four of the eight Board of Director positions expire. One of these positions is selected by the Board and three are voted on by the membership.

Congratulations to Minnesota Brass, who placed second in DCA Finals on Sunday, September 6. This is the highest placement in MBI history!
