MBI Winter Guard
About
MBI Winter Guard entered the WGI competitive arena in 2011 with thrilling results. Their in-season promotion to Open Class after their appearance at the Indianapolis Power Regional resulted in an 11th place finish at World Championships. Truly a stunning accomplishment for an inaugural season.
MBI WG is ready for an amazing second season in IO competition. The talented 26 members come from diverse marching backgrounds including several top World Class Drum & Bugle Corps. They will compete in the 2012 season within the North Star Circuit, Kansas City WGI Regional and World Championships in Dayton, OH.

Wil Furnstahl - Wil is a 1997 graduate of Apollo High School and a St. Cloud All-City Marching Band alum where he participated four summers as a trombone, percussionist and in the color guard. He went on to march with the Royal Guard of the Twin Cities, Heritage Winterguard of Madison, WI, and several years with the Minnesota Brass Drum and Bugle Corp. He has been teaching colorguard since 1997, some of which include, St. Cloud All-City and Eclipse Winterguard, MN Brass Inc., Park Center High School, Rosemount High School and Eastview High School. He currently serves as Vice-President on the North Star Colorguard Circuit board and is a summer/fall adjudicator with the Tri-State Judges Association.
Emily Merriman - Emily is a 1995 graduate of Irondale High School where she participated in the extensive summer, fall and winter marching opportunities. After graduating, Emily's marching experience includes Minnesota Brass Inc, The Colts Drum & Bugle Corp, Royal Guard, Seneca Winterguard, Chimeras of Nashville, TN and Northeast Independent of Jacksonville, FL. Her teaching experience is equally as diverse and include Eclipse Winterguard, Coon Rapids High School, Champlin Park High School, Avid Winterguard, MN Brass Inc, Rosemount High School and Park Center High School.
Ronley Aviles - Ronley is a 2005 graduate of Eagan High School and went on to age out of the Phantom Regiment. Ronley's marching experience also includes Chops Inc., Eclipse Winterguard and MN Brass Inc. His teaching experience includes Eagan High School, St. Cloud All-City Marching Band, Eclipse Winterguard, River Falls High School, MN Brass Inc and Eden Prairie High School.
